Rear Head and Side Discharge Valve Part Numbering Code

The Betts’ Rear Head and Side Discharge Valves are designed to handle the challenges of hot product transportation.  The body of the valve is intended to be welded directly into the shell of the tank which allows the seat and surrounding area to be fully heated by the elevated temperature of the product.  With an outward opening disc, this valve is ideal for heavy, viscous, temperature-sensitive commodities. This robust valve is available in various sizes, materials and styles.

A recommended installation configuration includes a secondary shut-off valve, such as a gate valve, located at the outlet of the Rear Head Valve.

A representative part numbering system is used.  Each letter or digit in the part number is indicative of a feature or option as shown on the chart.  If an option is not covered by the standard numbering system, a three-digit suffix will apply.  All options and part number combinations may not be listed, available or even possible.
