Quick Clean OS&Y Hydrolet Valve – Outside Screw & Yolk Recessed Tophead Style

The Betts Quick Clean QRB (Quick Removable Bonnet) Hydrolet with OS&Y (Outside Screw and Yolk) and special recessed bonnet is a 3” manually operated loading/unloading stop-valve typically used in conjunction with a primary self-closing stop-valve on DOT407 and 412 cargo tanks.

The QC-OS&Y offers the same features as the standard Quick Clean Hydrolet such as a straight unobstructed bore and shear section to protect piping but with the added advantage of the stem’s threads being located outboard of the stem’s packing. This feature isolates the threads from the product being hauled, resulting in a cleaner, more robust stem seal, well suited for food-grade or harsh chemical applications.  Compared to a standard tophead assembly, the QC-OS&Y‘s recessed bonnet creates a smaller internal cavity which reduces product build-up in the body.

Special variations are offered to meet customers’ specific needs, such as, 4” sump inlet flange, eccentric sump inlet flange, extended outlet or 30° outlet elbow.
