Master Control Air Valve – Push/Pull with Air Reset

The Betts Master Control Valve can be used to manage the supply or the discharge of air for a cargo tank’s pneumatic valve system.  Model AD22MC is a push/pull 5/2 directional control valve with an air reset feature which retracts the valve to the shutdown position when air is provided to the “R” port.  The two-position valve directs air to downstream components when the knob is pulled out.  When the knob is pushed in, it vents downstream air while directing air to the shutdown line.  The shutdown line is typically plumbed to the reset port of the Manifold Air Distributor Valves.

The Master Control Valve is commonly used in conjunction with a Distributor Valve (see AD22V) and this combination is offered as a “plug and play” Air Control Panel assembly (see AP22).  An Emergency Shutdown Valve (see ES22) is also offered to complete the pneumatic control system.

The valve block is lightweight anodized aluminum for corrosion resistance and performance.  Ports 1-5 are ¼” NPT and port “R” is ⅛” NPT.  The valve can be mounted via the through holes in the valve body or through a .81” hole in a panel and secured with the ¾“ hex nut.
