Defender™ Dome
The Betts’ Defender Dome™ combines our Full Opening Manhole with the protection of the GuardianTM Vents to provide a safe and secure package for your cargo tank. The Defender DomeTM saves time and money by eliminating additional fabrication during tank build. This all-in-one package is ready to install right out-of-the-box.
The Defender DomeTM is available in a wide variety of materials and manhole sizes. The part number code shown below is used to designate the exact Defender Dome package required.
An optional spring assist cover with hinge stop (suffix 543) is available to reduce the effort required to open the manhole. The spring assist is located at the hinge and is adjustable to compensate for the weight of the vent package. The hinge stop restricts the cover from opening more than approximately 100 degrees.
